As part of its efforts to design and implement a consultancy policy for Regional and Local Authorities, NASLA, in collaboration with its partners, is organising a web conference aimed at offering concrete solutions for waste management. The web conference will be held on 16 and 17 July 2025.
Waste management remains a major challenge for Regional and Local Authorities in Cameroon. In a context of demographic growth, rapid urbanisation, budgetary constraints and the lack of professionalism in the sector, traditional solutions barely respond to the needs of the population effectively. In response to this urgent need, NASLA, in collaboration with its technical partners, is proposing a series of innovative and sustainable initiatives that can be implemented immediately.
As part of its drive to support Regional and Local Authorities (RLAs), NASLA is organising and inviting RLA Officials, actors in the sector and operators to a ground-breaking web conference on the theme: “ Waste Management by RLAs: applicable immediate solutions”.
More than ever, RLAs must integrate the principles of the Social and Solidarity Economy into their development strategies. The reason for this is the urgent need to turn challenges into concrete solutions, and the fight against poor hygiene and sanitary conditions, which is inextricably connected with dignity, public health and the attractiveness of the environment.
This strategic web conference, organised by NASLA, will focus on:
- accessible, proven solutions for sustainable waste management;
- strategic technical partnerships to be mobilised;
- pedagogic methods for sustainable behaviour change;
- and levers of citizen transformation within the reach of RLAs.
You don’t want to be left behind in this silent revolution; NASLA invites you to join this laudable initiative, which will undoubtedly contribute to the well-being of the population.
Let's work together to build a clean, dynamic and sustainable environment.
