Decentralisation: NASLA joins the Presidents of the Regional Councils to promote decentralisation in Cameroon

Since Monday 13 November 2023, the Director General of the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) has been leading a delegation consisting of Technical Adviser No. 1 and the Assistant Research Officer at the Research and Documentation Centre on a study visit to the « Institut National du Service Public » (INSP) in Paris (France).

The purpose of this visit, which is part of the support project for decentralisation in Cameroon, phase 2, is to enable the NASLA Research and Documentation Centre (CRD) team to draw inspiration from the model of the INSP’s Resource and Documentation Engineering Centre, with a view to foster the ongoing development of a strategic plan for research and documentation at NASLA.

This study visit is also in line with the actions taken by the Cameroon Government to improve the quality of training for human resources of Regional and Local Authorities, in order to produce a strategic plan developed by the French and Cameroonian parties. The visit will extend to Strasbourg and Germany in the coming days.
